An exciting prospect of Australian rugby has been tragically killed whilst on holiday in London, two days after arriving in the country for his first visit.

Dan Robinson 21, was three and a half times over the limit when he was electricuted when he fell onto live train tracks and then hit by a train.

Robinson, who played for Gordon rugby club in Sydney, had been drinking in the Embankment area of London before becoming seperated from his friend.

Mr Robinson was seen on CCTV wandering aimlessly around Embankment station before falling onto the live tracks which killed him instantly.

He would have been dead before being hit by the train and although the driver spotted the body on the tracks as he approached, he would not have been able to brake in time.

The coroner commented "No one knows why he ended up wandering aimlessly around the station or why he ended up in that part of London.

"It is a terrible tragedy and accident. He would have been totally unaware of the huge current from the track."
