Leeds Carnegie secured a 12-10 win against relegation rivals Worcester Warriors to send them down into the Championship.

Despite a fierce second half come back, Worcester just did not have enough in the tank to overcome a sprited Leeds side spearheaded by Ceiron Thomas' four first half penalties.

Worcester missed a number of opportunities to score and it was late in the second half when the fight back really started with a try from Alex Grove which was converted by Matthew Jones.

With the scores locked at 12-10, Jones missed a penalty and a drop goal within the last few minutes that would have kept Worcesters hopes alive, but it was not to be.
