With sports fans everywhere weighing up the pros and cons of forking out for match tickets during a recession, Saracens have come up with a remarkable offer.

Anyone who buys a half-season ticket for the rest of the year will get their money back if the club doesn't win each of its remaining home games.

Six home matches are left to play, although it's not entirely clear whether the move is one born out of overconfidence - arrogance, perhaps - on the part of the Guinness Premiership leaders, or just an extraordinary act of generosity.

There's also a couple of trips to Wembley to be had out of the deal, since the games against Worcester on February 13th and Harlequins on April 17th are technically home matches for Sarries and season ticket holders get equivalent seats.

Meanwhile, Saracens fans have this week bid farewell to 32-year-old full-back Michael Horak, who announced his retirement from rugby on Wednesday.ADNFCR-2652-ID-19546951-ADNFCR
