Wallaby backline 'needs rhythm'

The Australian backline needs to settle down if the side is to be successful this year.

That's the opinion of Wallaby fan Gagger, a poster on the Green and Gold Rugby site who produced his wish list for the 2010 season.

Noting that last year's line was a "revolving door", he observed that the halfback pairing of Will Genia and Matt Giteau was the only one given any real chance to develop.

"The longer it went on, the more I thought Kid Dynamite should be wearing 12," he said.

Of course, the injury to Berrick Barnes at the end of October disrupted the backline for the autumn series, so with his return the Wallabies may have a better chance of establishing a rhythm.

"There are some great pieces in this puzzle, but they sure aren't painting a pretty picture, yet," Gagger noted.

Among his other hopes for the season were for Australia to win all their home Tri-Nations games, while he stopped short of wishing for an Aussie team to win the Super 14 and will be satisfied with one reaching the final.ADNFCR-2652-ID-19551543-ADNFCR
