When Wales switch to all-out attack mode, they are the best team in the world at converting opportunities into points, according to one pundit.

Stephen Jones, writing for the Times, argued that the Scotland game last weekend proved that the Welsh still have no peers when it comes to fearless, attacking rugby, but is his argument valid?

"Consider the sheer talent on view, however, when they threw caution to the wind. Shane Williams was absolutely brilliant but we also saw James Hook run in with wonderful attacking edges. It was irresistible," he said.

However, the fact that Scotland had dominated the majority of the game does not paper over the side's shortcomings, and Jones admitted that the next match against France will be much more of a test of the side's mettle.

One player who will not be a part of the team to face Wales will be Andy Powell, whose drunken activities after the Scotland game have been further pushed into the limelight following the publication of new pictures showing him drunk and trouserless in a Cardiff nightclub.
