Wales international Gareth Thomas has revealed that he may make a switch to rugby league to join the Crusaders.

The Blues veteran has already had talks with the Wrexham-based outfit about a move which would likely see him end his career in league.

However, Blues coach Dai Young is expecting Thomas to train with the side today and appear in the 22-man squad for the game against Glasgow Warriors on Friday (February 18th).

A source told the Daily Telegraph: "I think people are jumping to conclusions here. Of course, a player of Alfie's [Thomas] status would be on the radar, but unless things change dramatically over the coming days, an immediate switch is highly unlikely."

Earlier this year, Thomas held a party in London to celebrate his homosexuality, after first revealing the fact in December, and called on other gay sportsmen to come out of the closet and let the world know.
