Magners League leaders Leinster slipped up in the race for the title with a 27-13 loss away to Leinster in Galway last night.

The win gives Connacht fresh hopes of securing a Heineken Cup spot as they are now level with Ulster on 26 points with the two sides meeting at Ravenhill in the final game of the season.

Tries from Brian Tuohy, Michael Swift and Troy Nathan gave Connacht a crucial win to lift them off the foot of the Magners League table.

A penlty try for Leinster gave the visitors hope in the second half but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback.

Leinster are still a few points short of qualification for the play-offs, and are back in action again just 48 hours after their last fixture with a match against Glasgow Warriors on Friday night.
