The real-life soap opera that is the career of Gavin Henson looks set to be revived, with rumours that the Welsh centre could be making a return to the pitch.

Henson has been trying to decide whether or not to carry on playing after a string of injuries and is currently on unpaid leave from the Ospreys.

But managing director Mike Cuddy seems optimistic that he will be able to win the 27-year-old round.

Cuddy is to meet with Henson next to discuss the issue next month and explained that most of the things written about the star have been "nonsense".

"It has been frustrating reading some of the things that have been said," Cuddy stated. "One day he was a great player, the next he was being written off."

The Ospreys boss appears to be optimistic that Henson will return for the latter stages of the Heineken Cup.

However, the region faces a big test against Leicester if they are to reach the knockout stages and captain Ryan Jones recently urged fans to "pack out" Liberty Stadium for the January 23rd encounter.
