French players have again featured heavily in the Six Nations team of the week as the country continues on its seemingly unstoppable march to the Grand Slam.

No fewer than six French stars featured in the 15-man line-up compiled by Eurosport, with Yannick Jauzion picked as the best number 12 of the week, mainly due to his outstanding first-half defensive performance against Wales.

Francois Trinh-Duc was rated the finest number ten of the weekend, with the source claiming that his exploits in the tournament so far will do nothing to harm his chances of appearing in next year's World Cup.

Julien Bonnaire was selected for filling in so effectively for Fulgence Ouedraogo, while Nicolas Mas, who was praised by Jonathan Davies all evening, got the nod at number three.

Lionel Nallet's relieving of the captaincy has seen him become a better player, the source claimed, while Thomas Domingo completed the sextet.

"The Clermont prop may not yet be France's first-choice loose-head but he dominated his opposite number Paul James as Les Bleus put Wales to the sword at scrum-time," it said.
