Scotland's hopes of registering a third consecutive home victory over England have been boosted after it was revealed that Nick De Luca will be back in the side for Saturday's encounter.

The recalled centre will make his return after an absence of over 18 months and will add a new dimension to a team which have lost every game of the 2010 Six Nations so far.

De Luca praised coach Andy Robinson for having faith in him and said a win over the Auld Enemy may be the saving grace of a disappointing campaign.

"I was hopeful of another start before now but I'll take it," said De Luca. "I was at Edinburgh when Andy arrived at the club and we were delighted to get such a world-class coach," De Luca told the Scotsman.

On the opposite side of the field, Ben Youngs has revealed that he is "shocked" to have been called up to the squad for what could be his first cap for England on Saturday.
