The Super 14 competition is set to get underway this weekend and should be spiced up by a number of big name players switching allegiances in the post-season break.

Stars like Stephen Brett, Matt Giteau, Drew Mitchell, Zac Guildford and Bryan Habana are among those who have moved around the teams.

Sky Sports stated: "It has been a hectic off-season for the clubs as they desperately looked to strengthen their squads to challenge defending champions the Bulls."

The transfers are just one element of the new look league and experts believe it is important this year's matches are entertaining with different sports fighting for fans attention, like the football World Cup, which is held this summer in South Africa.

Super 14 fixtures this weekend will see the defending champions, the Bulls, travel across South Africa to take on the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein and the Crusaders will battle it out with the Highlanders in Christchurch.
