The Bulls dominated the line-up in the Super 14 team of the week following round one.

A list compiled by Planet Rugby included Wynand Olivier, Morne Steyn, Deon Stegmann, Danie Rossouw and Guthro Steenkamp following the side's impressive display against the Cheetahs.

Steenkamp in particular was singled out for making the Cheetahs front row look "pretty average", while Rossouw was hailed as the natural successor to Bakkies Botha in the role of talisman.

"The big Bull proved he is an able replacement while his Springbok colleague recuperates from injury and even outshone lock partner Victor Matfield," the source said.

Meanwhile, Stegmann was included for getting the better of Heinrich Brussow in a bruising encounter and Morne Steyn narrowly edging out Crusaders' Dan Carter as the pick at number 10.

The Bulls may face a bigger test at the weekend, as they face off against the Brumbies, a side which impressed when digging deep against Force last Friday.
